Woodhead Publishers, a division of Elsevier, has published 5 books in a series: Agricultural Animal Welfare. The series provide comprehensive coverage of animal welfare of the world’s major farmed animals including cattle, poultry, sheep and pigs. There is also a general volume exploring developments in the key areas of agricultural animal welfare assessment and improvement. There are nearly 700 members worldwide and each year the Society assembles for a major International Congress, where in addition to addresses by special keynote speakers, members present their latest research findings. There are also regular regional conferences held to encourage local knowledge exchange.
