This International Congress on Applied Ethology has been taking place regularly in Freiburg/Germany, organized by the Section of Applied Ethology of the German Veterinary Society. This traditional congress also serves as a meeting place for the ISAE members of the region, several of them being actively involved in the organization of the congress. The main congress language is German, but occasional papers are given in English, and at the annual call for papers, contributions in English are also welcome.

42. Internationale Tagungen Angewandte Ethologie der DVG

An International Congress on Applied Ethology has been taking place regularly in Freiburg/Germany, organized by the Section of Applied Ethology of the German Veterinary Society. This traditional congress also serves as a meeting place for the ISAE members of the region, several of them being actively involved in the organization of the congress. The main congress language is German, but occasional papers are given in English, and at the annual call for papers, contributions in English are also welcome. The proceedings are published by the Kuratorium für Technik und Bauwesen in der Landwirtschaft (KTBL), Darmstadt, Germany with the series name "Aktuelle Arbeiten zur artgemäßen Tierhaltung" - "Current research in applied ethology". Ordering information can be found on the website of KTBL.

The 42nd German Veterinary Society's yearly congress in Applied Ethology took place in Freiburg in November 2010. This year the West Central Europe region organised a workshop about heart rate variability (held by Dr. Jan Langbein).

Ein Internationaler Kongress zur Angewandten Ethologie findet regelmäßig in Freiburg im Breisgau statt. Veranstalter ist die Deutschen Veterinärmedizinischen Gesellschaft, Fachgruppe Angewandte Ethologie. Diese traditionsreiche Tagung dient auch als Treffpunkt der ISAE-Mitglieder der Region. Einige davon sind aktiv in die Organisation der Tagung eingebunden. Die Vorträge werden vom Kuratorium für Technik und Bauwesen in der Landwirtschaft (KTBL) Darmstadt, als Serie "Aktuelle Arbeiten zur artgemäßen Tierhaltung" veröffentlicht. Die 42. Internationale Tagung Angewandte Ethologie der DVG fand im November 2010 in Freiburg statt. In diesem Jahr veranstaltete die Westcentraleurope-Region einen Workshop über Herzfrequenzvariabilität (abgehalten von Dr. Jan Langbein).
