Lucy Oldham

Lucy is a researcher at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC), Edinburgh, UK. She received her PhD from SRUC/ Edinburgh University, studying the affective and cognitive components of aggression in pigs. She now studies contest skill and the development of aggressive behaviour from experiences in early life.  She also has an interest in social network analysis as a way of understanding how animals experience their social environment.

There are nearly 700 members worldwide and each year the Society assembles for a major International Congress, where in addition to addresses by special keynote speakers, members present their latest research findings. There are also regular regional conferences held to encourage local knowledge exchange.
