Assistant or Associate Professor of Animal Science

We are seeking exceptional and highly motivated candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of animal welfare and behavior on a full-time basis, to be part of a diverse and interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience related to animal systems for production of food or other products and services. The selected candidate must have the ability to develop independent and innovative research in the fields of animal welfare and behavior of farm animals and to participate in existing research programs. Their training should include some of the following areas: extensive livestock systems, confined livestock systems, transport, slaughter, among others. Additionally, the candidate is expected to develop links with the UC School of Veterinary Medicine.
